Enjoy a walk through the historic town of Antrim with someone born and bred in the town, hear stories of its origins, history and some of its unique social history.

The tour begins at Clotworthy House in the beautiful Castle Gardens, we then cross the Six Mile Water and follow it to the Massereene Bridge where we enter the town centre, after visiting Pogues Entry and the historic All Saints Church we walk down to Market Square.

We then re-enter the Castle Gardens via the majestic Barbican Gate passing the site of Antrim Castle before we finish back at Clotworthy House.

During the tour you will also walk in the footsteps of the 1798 United Irishmen insurgents and hear how the ‘Battle of Antrim’ unfolded on the town streets, and learn the fascinating and tragic story of local gentry the Massereene’s.
