Beginning at the lower gates of Ormeau Park closest to Ormeau Bridge, we take you on a fascinating journey through the history of Ballynafeigh, from its origins with the Donegall family, to recent times when it is now seen by many as a ‘model’ community of religious and ethnic tolerance and co-operation.
We will highlight some of the landmark buildings and tell you about some of the significant events, and of course stories of local people who have helped shape the character of Ballynafeigh.
The tour will take approx 90 minutes beginning at the Ormeau Park Gates and ending at the Rosetta Roundabout/Carolan Road. We use a state of the art radio system to ensure safe distancing, which is sanitised before and after use, and provide hand sanitiser and wipes.
