Setting off from Belfast, this memorable tour takes you along one of the most stunning coastal routes in the world. You will hear how and why the spectacular road was constructed in the 19th Century, as well as the stories of the ‘Glens Folk’ and of course the area’s unique history, legends and folklore.

The tour takes in historic Carrickfergus Castle, Bushmills Distillery*, Carrick-a-Read Rope Bridge*, Dunluce Castle*, and of course the UNESCO world heritage site from which the coastal route takes its name, the fascinating and magical Giant’s Causeway.

The area is a particular treat for ‘Game of Thrones’, and filming locations will be pointed out along the way, such as the villages of Cushendun and Carnlough, which became the free city of Braavos, and the fascinating ‘Dark Hedges’, which was transformed into the Kingsroad.

The return journey back to Belfast is overland through the lush rolling hills and farmland of Co. Antrim, with an optional stop off at the wonderful Antrim Castle Gardens (coffee shop/toilets).
