Donal Kelly Tour Guide

Donal Kelly

A native of Antrim, Donal has lived in Belfast since 1989. His great-grandfather worked at Harland & Wolff and helped build RMS Titanic, his grandfather was a tram/trolley bus driver, an Air Raid Warden during WWII and a senior union rep in the Belfast Linen Mills.

Following a career in the aerospace industry, Donal worked as an outdoors instructor before joining the Visitor Experience Team at Titanic Belfast visitor experience, opened in 2012 on the 100th anniversary of the famous ship’s launch.

Donal’s specialist areas include RMS Titanic and Belfast’s maritime and industrial heritage, Game of Thrones (he was an extra in seasons 1&2!), and Belfast’s unique links to the founding of the USA. Donal holds the highest level of tour guiding qualification available in Northern Ireland – the Level 4 Blue Badge – and has 8 years experience of guiding in Belfast, the Causeway Coast and other area’s of Northern Ireland.

Rory is a qualified tour guide and a member of Tour Guides Northern Ireland, having been involved in the travel and tourism industry for 35 years as a travel agent, a holiday representative and a tour guide. He has worked with some of the biggest companies in the travel trade such as Thomas Cook, Airtours, Expedia and Titanic Belfast, from where he received an outstanding customer service award.

Louise Armstrong Tour Guide

Louise Armstrong

Hailing from Co. Tyrone, Louise has been living and working in Belfast for over 25 years and qualified as a tour guide in Jan 2020, earning the Level 4 Blue Badge award, the highest accredited guiding qualification available in N. Ireland. She is also a member of Tour Guides NI (TGNI)

Having lived and worked in East Belfast, Louise has a keen interest in CS Lewis, Van Morrison and the stories of the famous shipbuilding and engineering industries of the area.
